Mr. Duong-Van Nguyen is currently working as Vision Research Engineer at Valeo Vision Systems. Whereby his main investigation is to develop Automotive Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), which leads to approach autonomous cars / vehicles potentially in a quite near future.

 

Mr. Nguyen received his B.Sc in Telecommunication from HCMUT(VietNam) in 2007. He received his PhD in Robotics and Pattern Recognition at University of Siegen (Germany) in 2013, under the project AMOR. The (AMOR) team won the innovation award for the track "object tracking" in the European Land Robot Trial (ELROB) 2010. Mr. Nguyen has served as Member of Editorial Board for two journals IJCV, and IJEI. He has also served as Reviewer and Member of Technical Program Committees for a number of IEEE conferences (IV'14, ICIEV'14, IROS'13, IV'13, ICIEV'13, ICVES'12, etc.). He acted as Session Chair for a number of conferences (IEEE ICMA'12, IEEE CSAE'11, CGIM-2010, etc).

 

Mr. Nguyen is an expert in intelligent vehicles and sensor systems. Indeed, he is currently serving as Reviewer for IEEE/RSJ International Conference on Intelligent Robots and Systems (IROS), IEEE Intelligent Vehicles Symposium, and ITSC, the leading conferences of the IEEE RAS and ITS Society, respectively. Mr. Nguyen have published 3 top-tier journals and 17 international conferences in Robotics and Computer Vision.
